AMERICAN MADE - ASHLAND LEATHER CO.

A man and his wallet; something that could be overlooked or caught by someones eye and turned into a conversation piece. Phil and Dan of Ashland Leather Co. have been producing some of the highest quality leather goods some of us have seen. The use of Horween leather makes each piece unique, soft, and attractive in its own way.

I've followed the Ashland Leather Instagram @ashlandleather for maybe 2 years or so, and have liked what they had to offer. When my 'work' wallet of 15 years finally decided to let go just a few weeks ago; I knew who was first on my list to call. I discussed my needs with Phil and told him I work outdoors, and in the winter months I tend to get drenched by rain water. This information would steer my original choice away from the Shell Cordovan and direct me to the Chromexcel. Phil suggested the Chromexcel because the CXL leather is somewhat waterproof, and it would handle moisture better during the times I'm outside in the pouring rain. I'm a landscaper/tree worker so we tend to get really dirty at work, so when it came time to color choice, black was the best thing for me. Thanks again Phil for this awesome wallet!

Rome, Tokyo, Cancun, and the Cayman Islands are just some of the international locations I've had the pleasure to visit in my life thus far. Each visit I found myself just tossing my passport in my backpack and going on my merry way. I didn't like doing this, but I didn't think such a thing as a passport cover existed, or maybe I just didn't take the time to look. This was a surprise for me to see on Ashland's website, and is now on my to-do's to grab for my girlfriend! Getting to see it in-hand is a privilege and I'm happy I get to share it with you. Whether you're an avid traveler or just like to preserve your passport, why not do it in fashion? Wrap that internationally traveled document in some Class A, Made In USA LEATHER! Here are the Herbie Traveller and World Traveller Passport covers that are manufactured and sold by Ashland Leather Co.

If the World Traveller is more your style then you can grab that here.

My personal pick for a passport holder was the World Traveller in 'natural' color:

Your wallet, keys, and phone are probably the 3 items you carry on a daily basis right? Some are shown more to the public indirectly than others right? Give them something to remember the next time you pull out your car keys.

If you've bounced around my blog then you'll see that I'm heavily into the automotive industry, and currently have 5 sets of car keys. A trendy key fob that color coordinates to the exterior or interior of your car could be the next look for you!

The leather cleaner and conditioner is the product of 8 generations of tannery experience. I was able to make this purchase with confidence knowing that Ashland Leather stands behind their lifetime guarantee. If your piece ever rips or if the stitching comes undone, they will fix it or replace it for FREE. Phil says, "It should last forever, and if it doesn't it's our job to fix it." You just don't get this kind of customer service these days.

Ashland Leather Co. has given me a great first experience with them as a customer, and I hope you can enjoy it as I did. They have many beautiful pieces to pick from that go beyond wallets, so the next time you're out in the windy city of Chicago or surfing the web to window shop for yourself or purchase for others, drop by www.ashlandleather.com and show some support to Phil, Dan, and their good ol' American made craftsmanship.
