NEW BALANCE x CONCEPTS 997SCN: ESRUC

I’d love to cover all of my NB x Concepts back to back to back, but I have to be fair and give y’all some variety haha. Let’s flashback to the last 99X that came from the Cncpts camp: the ‘ESRUC’ 997S Fusion. Over a year prior to the release of the ESRUC, this colorway was teased by Concepts’ Creative Director Deon Point on a 998 silhouette, which I’m sure most of us would’ve equally approved of when compared to the released Fusion model.

This was my first and currently only Fusion 997 and I’ll be honest…this is the most comfortable model to have touched my feet. The new midsole though bulky, feels like you’re walking on a cloud for my low-arched foot. The ESRUC is also my first shoe with a solid suede toebox, which I was iffy about, but after they arrived there were no regrets. In typical Concepts fashion; these came in a custom graphic oversized box and had a few extra lace choices for the consumer to pick from.

Rich magenta pig suede throughout the upper + 3M accenting can never be overlooked. These are very lush.
