NEW BALANCE x STAPLE 575JWP: WHITE PIGEON

Staple Pigeon’s iconic pigeon logo has been recognizable, and at the forefront of urban streetwear for well over a decade. From their record breaking release of the ‘Pigeon’ Nike Dunk back in 2005 to their most recent NB X-Racer in collaboration with Atmos; the signature pigeon has been caught on numerous footwear silhouettes over the course of time.

Naturally, me coming from the early days of SB Dunks I’ve had eyes on Jeff Ng (better known as Jeff Staple) and what he’s accomplished, so when I had the opportunity to purchase both NB 575 Grey & White Pigeons from TeamNB member Anibal; I had to flock to the opportunity.

This ‘White’ version of the Pigeon 575 was released almost a year to the day after Jeff Staple’s original ‘Grey’ colorway 575. The white was limited to 1,077 worldwide with only 3 stockists being in North America: Reed Space, Barney’s, and Goodfoot.

White mesh, off-white suede, 3M and Staple’s signature touch of that luminous pink make this shoe perfect for spring/summer wears. If you’re looking for a pair I’d suggest going .5 up from your TTS sizing.

You may have noticed the first couple of photos were of the box…In 2019 I was able to reach out to the Staple staff to get both of my boxes signed by Jeff himself. It’s the little details like a signature that makes a shoe more sentimental than valuable. Jeff if you’re reading this; THANK YOU. As a 10+ year NB collector, I can tell you that this 575 duo will never leave my collection. Keep doing what you’re doing #flockwithus!
