NEW BALANCE x GREEN LANTERN 993GRL

“In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let all who worship evil’s might Beware my power…Green Lantern’s light!” One of the most memorable quotes by an unforgettable superhero; The Green Lantern. These Green Lantern 993’s (993GRL) were rumored to be limited to 300 pairs and NOT available for purchase, but rather given out to the cast and crew of Ryan Reynold’s 2011 motion picture: ‘Green Lantern’

If you weren’t able to get your hands on these, you might’ve found NB’s General Release form called the 993BG. The BG had some subtle changes that included:

• '‘USA’ across the heel

• Different tongue material and text

• 993 Heritage Collection midsoles (no Green Lantern text)

• Double layered black on black ‘N’ on the saddle

Both friends of mine @gopre5k and @feelmeguilty have had the BG versions.

I acquired these gems from @teamnb member Scott Green aka @punklance. These were a tad to big for him and with his knowledge of my 99X collection; he offered them to me at a deal I couldn’t refuse. These vibrant 993’s remained in DS condition until this shoot. Thanks again Scott!
