CONCEPTS ROSÉ: A PROJECT TURNED ICONIC

On 2/16, NB announced an 'Iconic Collaboration' pack that would pay homage to some of the most successful collaboration projects ever to launch: Sneaker Freaker's Tassie Devil 998, Concepts' Rosé 997, SNS' 577, and Whiz Limited's 1700. These four colorways were originally incorporated into models other than the 574...this time around though things would change.

Though completing this pack would somewhat be desired by most, I went a different route and only purchased the pairs I had the originals of: Rosé's and Tassie Devils.

'Let down' seems a little strong for how I felt unboxing the 574...I really wanted Concepts to continue the custom box tradition when launching a project. The classic black box was a nice touch, but was still lacking. A duplicate of the 997 box would've been awesome!

The good folks at Concepts never cease to give their buyers a smooth purchasing experience when buying online. I haven't had the pleasure of making an in-store purchase being that I live in Cali, but it is surely on my to-do list. Once again the knocked this out of the park!

After releasing the in-hand picture via my instagram: (@robertljuba) I received a lot of questions regarding sizing, quality, and color tone. As for sizing; if you stuck with your TTS or up .5 you'll be fine. However, if you went down .5 then they may be too snug. The made in China pairs tend to be a bit smaller than the US made. Quality is a lot better than expected coming from a MiChina pair, and color tone is identical!

If asked, I wouldn't pick the 574 over the 997. Can you deny a 997?!

I hope you all enjoyed this write-up. Maybe I'll feature the Tassie 574 next...
