NEW BALANCE X90SNL 'SEOUL EXCLUSIVE'

The close knit circle of NB enthusiasts never ceases to amaze me; if it wasn't for them my collection wouldn't be half the size you see today. Their selfless willingness to help, seek out, and acquire pairs for others is unmatched by any other specific brand enthusiasts. This is the story on how I acquired the Seoul, Korea exclusive X-90. 

With the abundance of X-90's out right now it was hard to settle and pull the trigger on just one. Face it...when you find a model you like, you just want them ALL! Obviously those gum-bottom X90RCC are strong contenders for the best out, but n late-August, Korea's lifestyle Instagram page (@nblifestyle_kr) leaked some pictures of X-90 renderings that caught my eye. 

I tried communicating with the Korea's NB lifestyle page to see if there was any way I could get my hands on them, but unfortunately they wouldn't ship internationally to me, so I had to begin locating a proxy to pick these up for me. 

I contacted well known NB collector from Hong Kong: Billy (@bli_sizeniner) who seems to get his hands on everything! He informed me that he did not have any contacts in Korea, but maybe NB HK would get them in October, and that he'd keep me posted. Following my conversation with Billy was a DM by @rapsandsteps who let me know that @hyunsunhong was in Korea and may be able to help me out, so another DM request was sent just to be declined again! @hyunsunhong was more than willing to help me, but due to managing his own business and taking care of his family; he could not break away to grab the shoes. @hyunsunhong told me to contact Eric B. otherwise known as @class2001. I've followed Eric over the years never knowing he was stationed in Korea. Eric couldn't make it to the pop-up release, but did however make it to the Atmos store to pick them up. Thanks again Eric for bringing this pair to the US and in my collection!

Let's talk colors. I know I'm jumping the gun really early, but this blend of colors is going to be hard to be beat. I've yet to see a blue/pink combo together that works as well as these + the metallic 3M silver heel tab bringing it all together. I may have to experiment with the extra pink laces that came with these.
