NEW BALANCE x SNS 577SKS

It’s rare that I download an app on my iPhone XS, but when it’s the only way to enter a raffle or purchase a shoe…you just have to do what you have to do right? I’ll be honest, I wasn’t keeping up with this release and if it wasn’t for NB Gallery posting that it was the last day to enter then I probably wouldn’t have these. I downloaded the SNS app and entered the raffle with just 10hrs left and to my surprise; I WON!

This is the 2nd raffle I’ve won through SNS; the first being the Sean Wotherspoon AM97 (for a friend). Ok back to the prize at hand: 577SKS. Here is SNS’s marketing campaign and the story behind this exclusive pair:

Getting these in-hand really justified the quality NB UK puts into their work. From the stitching, contrasting colors, premium suede to precision gluing; this pair stands out from the rest and just like in normal SNS fashion; I wouldn’t have expected anything less. This is what NB collabs have been missing for the past several years with the exception of Cncpts here in the states. I hope to see more from SNS in the future…maybe a 99X (wink*).

Unfortunately the 577 is uncomfortable on my low arched foot so I put feelers out for trades in 99X models or they’ll be sold to another NB enthusiast who reached out via our NB facebook group. Though this color is very attractive; I just can’t seem to force myself to keep them.

Today I read that this is 1 of 3 collaborative 577’s to drop in 2019: SNS, Highsnobiety, and Hanon will complete the trio.
