NEW BALANCE 998NB1: ACAI BOWL

A lot of you over time have shown deep interest in this particular pair of NB1 998’s that I created some years ago, but I never took the time to shoot them until now…

Inspired by my first time eating an açaí bowl on the island of Kauai; this 998 features all fruitful suede tones. I made it a point not to incorporate any 3M or mesh as I wanted this pair to have a luxury and luscious look and feel.

Though a small part of this shoe, the plastic speed-lace and collar accent having the ability to be ‘new navy’ is what brings this 998’s theme together. It just wouldn’t have been nearly as good if I was limited to Kool Grey, Metallic Silver, or White. I probably wouldn’t have pulled the trigger if ‘new navy’ wasn’t and option.
