KANGAROOS x KISH KASH x SNEAKER QUEEN ULTIMATE 'CHERRY MAPLE'
Say hello to the 4th and final pair of the ROOS United project session, and naturally they saved the best for last in my opinion. The 'Cherry Maple' Ultimate was brought to life through the creative minds of Kish Kash and Sneaker Queen.
Backstory reference from Hummel & Hummel:
”Kish Kash and SneakerQueen's first project, the Cherry Maple, reflects the autumn/winter season and the wonder of the seasons, in a wide spectrum of autumnal hues.
Inspired by walks on damp forest floors, cushioned by carpets of moss and autumn leaves, rays of sunlight shining through the forest canopy creating rippling kaleidoscopic harmonies, a symphony of scents of wild cherries and pines. The last colourful blossoming of maple leaves before they return to the earth from which they came. A reminder that nature is still the greatest creator of colour, and that the uninterrupted seasons reconnect us with her.
We hope that the unparalleled quality of the materials and the meticulous workmanship of this shoe will convince everyone who holds it in their hands. Likewise, we appreciate when this collab finds its way into nature on many hikes - whether in the forest or the urban jungle.”
Details:
Do I really need to express how much these 2 nailed this execution? The Cherry Maple is literally perfect in every way and may be my choice for shoe of the year for 2021. This is my color palette; olive dark green, burnt orange, and other earth tones are so attractive to me. As with most ROOS, these came with a plethora of lace choices and have limited production numbers. I do wish they came with that mustard yellow lace to match the tongue but oh well.
