NEW BALANCE x PACKER X90RPK: INFINITY EDITION

With the X90 taking the New Balance world by storm, its as only a matter of time before folks on US soil took this silhouette to the next level. Packer is the first in the US to collaborate with NB utilizing the X90 model, and they set the bar for any and all future X90 projects! This ‘Infinity Edition’ is a mash-up of blues, greys, and charcoals that were taken from NB’s most iconic models and their colorways.

Usually I’m not too big of a fan of the NB MiChina pairs, but these X90 models are quickly changing my mind about that. The comfort level for my slender foot is through the roof and the QC seems to have improved from previous years; no excessive glue stains, inconsistent stitching, or discoloration.

Packer nailed these! The suede and mesh combination could not be better executed, along with the mismatched N’s. You might remember that Ronnie Fieg also did the mismatched N’s on a pair of 574S’s (If i recall right), but these….these are different. These WORK! The pebbled leather tongue tag topped all other features and is my favorite, simple touch.

Can you name of the inspiring shoes that had a helping hand in the color/panel choices? 997NV? 1300CL? 1300JP?

The last finishing touch on these beauties is this Packer x NB insignia on the insole. The gold overlay really set it off! Great work Packer!
