NEW BALANCE (LAYERED IN BLACK)

Black: My ‘safe’ color because it goes well with EVERYTHING! I have a wide selection of black jackets, tees, and sweaters, but this is my first vest and my first pair of black joggers. With winter coming around the corner, being layered will be a must in the Bay Area, so these will be perfect to trap that warmth in.

This shoot was exceptionally fun for me because I finally had the opportunity to work with my cousins Danielle and Monique! Thank you both for taking the time to make this happen!

UPPER: New Balance Heat Down 600D Vest

I’ll admit…I was never a guy to wear a vest, but as of lately, my girlfriend has been encouraging me to get one, so I settled on this 600D vest. The reason why I settled for this is: 1: It’s black! 2: It’s lightweight and 3: I needed something in preparation for our Bay Area winters’ when it pays to dress in layers. Like the 247 Sport Jogger, this vest has 3M piping that outlines the full length of the zipper, which gives it a sleek appearance. NB’s chest marking is there, but you’ll miss it if you aren’t looking because it is also in black 3M and will only show with light reflection.

LOWER: New Balance 247 Sport Jogger

You might remember this jogger from when I shot the Tritium Pack, but this variety is black obviously. This pair still holds the same 3M markings lining the pocket edges, which looks almost ghosted. Black 3M on black fabric is classy to me, and can be worn out on the town without you feeling like you’re wearing lounge clothes or pajamas. The ankle cuffs are tight and can hug even my slender ankles so you don’t get that baggy (bacon neck) look haha. A white NB insignia on the upper left thigh is bold, and lets everyone know you’re rocking a quality made jogger that only NB could produce.

FOOTWORK: New Balance 998NB1 (Custom)

Since this apparel ensemble came from the New Balance Flagship store of San Francisco; I thought it’d only be right to pair it with these custom 998’s I made utilizing NB’s NB1 program on their website. Yes, originally these were designed around the ‘London Cab’ 991’s and 1500’s, but wouldn’t you say they compliment the SF Giants colors just as good? This was the recipe used to create the shoes you see here:

I’d like to give another special thanks to my cousins Danielle ( @wanderngstar ) and Monique ( @monique_low ) for taking the time to go with me and capture all of the photos you see here. It was a pleasure, and I hope we can do it again soon.
