NEW BALANCE 991.9CV 'CAVIAR & VODKA'

Suede, pebbled leather, and mesh all brought together to make one tasteful shoe. NB’s Caviar & Vodka pack had to be one of the best packs of 2018; their 1500, 991, and 770 uppers were all adapted to the 990v3 midsole to make them unique hybrids. I wasn’t a crazed fan of the 991/1500 midsole hybrid, but I think this 990v3 actually works well with the 991. It was nice to see that NB used this colorway on a 1500 that released around the same time as the pack. What was your favorite from the Caviar & Vodka pack?

NB UK was at the top of their game when creating this hybrid 991. The rich black pebbled leather on the upper was a great compliment to the gum sole.

A unique tone of brown can be found on the heel as well as the toebox. It almost has a greenish hue to it, which an instant win in my book being that green is my favorite color. The color is similar to the ‘encap’ background found on the midsole.

Everything about this pair is RICH. Rich leather texture, deep and rich color tones, and rich comfort found within that 990v3 midsole. It is no question that this 991.9 lives up to the name that surrounds this pack; Caviar & Vodka.
